Join Us in the #AMLE20 Virtual Classroom

Gathered together in the #AMLE20 virtual classroom, you’ll see a diverse group of educators including superintendents, principals, assistant principals, teachers, counselors, instructional coaches, professors, university students, and more. They may work in a variety of school settings and communities, but they are all passionate about educating young adolescents in grades 5-9. They have arrived with questions like:

  • How can we use the distinctive nature and identities of young adolescents as the foundation upon which all decisions about school are made?

  • How can we cultivate high expectations and advance learning for every member of our school community?

  • How can we facilitate environments in which students take responsibility for their own learning and contribute positively to the world around them?

  • How do we provide socially just learning opportunities and environments for every student?

  • How do we foster a learning atmosphere that is relevant, participatory, and motivating for all learners?

They’ve all convened at the #AMLE20 virtual classroom to obtain proven, research-backed practices and strategies to meet the specific educational needs of students aged 10-15. They are also looking to learn from each other what’s working in other school communities, and will do so through a variety of networking opportunities woven throughout the conference.

Of the hundreds of sessions available at #AMLE20, here’s what some of them are looking forward to:
