Writing for Publication Demystified

This workshop is designed to make participants more comfortable with the process of writing for publication in professional journals. Experienced editors and authors will take participants through the submission, revision, acceptance, and editing processes. They will also work with participants in small groups to provide feedback on article ideas and to answer participants' questions.

From At-Risk to At-Promise: Strategies for Supporting Students Who Need Us Most

Some students will succeed regardless of what we do; others need varying levels of support. Participants will practice strategies to engage challenging students. The format will focus on six Rs: resourcefulness (and relevance), reading, respect, resilience, responsibility, and relationships. Participants will leave with a plan of action.
