How do I subscribe to a news/blog?
Any time you see the , you can click on the graphic to bring up the XML page associated with that Web page. You will need a news reader (can also be called RSS reader) to subscribe to blogs, news, or Web pages. News readers are low-cost or free desktop or Web applications. They display titles (and sometimes the text) of new articles on the Web pages or blogs to which you have subscribed. The vast majority of news readers simply require you to copy and paste the URL address of the XML page and add it to your subscriptions. When we update the blog entries, news items, or Web page content, we update the XML file. Your software reads the XML file to see if you have the latest content.

How does podcasting work?
Podcasting is a method for automatically distributing audio files over the internet. Podcasting allows you to listen to these audio files whenever you want on your computer or on a portable MP3 player. Podcasting software uses RSS feed technology. The RSS aggregator (podcast receiver) is a small application that runs on your desktop. It gathers audio feeds that you've subscribed to while you are connected to the internet.

If you use Internet Explorer 7.0, click on the RSS graphic and it will be added to your Feeds folder, located under the Explorer bar. Please note: This feature is not available with earlier versions of Internent Explorer.
