Article Description: Writing can be challenging for most students, and it becomes even more so for reluctant students. This article focuses on the unit of study as an instructional framework that can help foster students' engagement and motivation with writing. This article focuses on the unit of study as an inquiry-based instructional framework for supporting students' development as writers in single subject areas or across disciplines.
