Article Description: What happens when you bring 150 sixth graders, 52 teacher candidates, 14 middle school educators, and several university professors together for four days in the woods? It becomes a learning experience for everyone—students and teachers alike.

Kathleen Benson is a professor and chair of the Elementary, Middle and Secondary Education Department at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (EUP). E-mail: kbenson@edinboro.edu

Ashley Weber is a graduate assistant at EUP. She served as the communications liaison between the camp and the university.

Gwyneth Price is an assistant professor and the assistant chair of the Elementary, Middle and Secondary Education Department at EUP.

Thomas Roden is an associate professor at EUP and the on-site field supervisor for the camp experience.

Anneliese Ledebur is an eighth grade teacher at Titusville Middle School and has directed the camp for the past five years.
