Transfer Students: Providing a Path to Connection

Article Description: All middle grades schools have an orientation program that gets students off to a positive start at the beginning of the school year. But what about students who transfer in during the rest of the year? Excelsior Middle School in Missouri established a process for ensuring all new students get off to a positive start socially and academically. And the data show it's working.
