Taking the Cool Out of Tobacco

Article Description: A successful campaign to deter middle grades students from smoking took its cues from the worlds of advertising and adolescents. Using students' own vernacular, artwork, and peer-to-peer relationships, the campaign significantly reduced tobacco use among young adolescents.
