COLUMBUS, OH — The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) was awarded the Association Media & Publishing (AM&P) Bronze EXCEL Award for Magazine Redesign. AMLE was recognized at the 34th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala, May 19 at the Sheraton Premiere, Tysons, VA.
Receipt of the EXCEL Award demonstrates AMLE's commitment to excellence in bringing timely, helpful content to educators for use in middle grades classrooms and schools to improve the educational experiences of 10- to 15-year-olds.
During its recent rebrand initiative, AMLE's brand was consolidated across all products and services, prompting the renaming of the magazine from Middle Ground to AMLE Magazine. The rebrand shifted focus to producing more content for teachers, increasing the frequency of the magazine, and developing an app for delivering the magazine and bonus multimedia elements to tablet devices.
Editor Pat George commented, "We are so honored and proud that AMLE Magazine has been recognized with this prestigious award. The redesign, which is part of a larger rebranding of the Association for Middle Level Education, was truly a team effort, and reflects the passion the association staff has for continuing to provide our members with top-quality design and content."
