The Association for Middle Level Education Launches New Brand

Rebrand process culminates in refreshed messaging, no-cost membership, AMLE Magazine, a new website, and a new logo and visuals.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 19, 2013

(Columbus, OH) – The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), the leading international association for middle grades educators, announced that it has rebranded. The new brand, including refreshed messaging and visuals, was developed over a 13-month process that engaged members and stakeholders, and was driven by the strategic plan of the Board of Trustees. For more than 40 years AMLE has helped middle grades educators reach every student, grow professionally, and create great schools.

The new AMLE has an increased focus on ease of access to resources and availability of interactive content. AMLE Magazine, a newly developed periodical, includes bonus videos, podcasts, and supplemental resources, and is available to members in print, online, and through a free iPad app in the iTunes store. A re-envisioned website offers a wealth of articles developed by and for middle grades teachers, principals, higher education professionals, and researchers, and brings opportunities for members to comment and share with colleagues. AMLE now offers a no-cost associate membership and professional and school memberships with customizable options that fit any budget.

"Rebranding has helped AMLE develop additional opportunities to engage teachers and principals in their own professional learning,” said Executive Director Dr. William Waidelich. “Our organization continues to offer research-based ideas, inspiration, and solutions, while facilitating networking and sharing amongst educators who are so passionate about reaching and teaching students during these critical years of life.”
